Thom Polson has a diverse background in the investment management industry. He has worked in research, portfolio construction, and strategy planning. He is the co-founder and CEO of Falah Capital, a Seattle-based Islamic asset management company focusing on exchange traded funds (ETF) and managed accounts. Falah Capital is a strategic partner of FTSE-Russell Indexes, IdealRatings, and Shariyah Review Bureau. Which gives them the ability to manage, the only Shari'a compliant funds platform, listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Before Falah Capital’s incorporation, Mr. Polson worked at The Investor for Securities Company – a multi-billion Dollar, Shari’a compliant investment bank headquarter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At the Investor, he dealt specifically with liquid, multi-asset class portfolios intended for high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors. The program was based upon securities research to qualify and quantify the Islamic mutual funds industry to produce efficient allocations.
Mr. Polson has a Bachelor's Degree in International Management & Marketing from Franklin University Switzerland. Along with a Post Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Islamic Banking & Insurance in London and Master’s Degree in Islamic Banking & Finance from Bangor Business School in Wales. Since the start of his graduate studies to the present, he has primarily focused his efforts and understanding on the Islamic funds industry.
