Strategy& - Middle East
Gabriel Chahine is a Beirut-based Partner with Strategy& and the leader of the firm’s Consumer and Retail and Health practices in the Middle East. He also sponsors the operations practice in the Middle East. He is a member of the leadership team of the firm’s Global Marketing and Sales Development Community.
In healthcare, Gabriel has led projects working in tandem with the key players of the complex healthcare ecosystem in the MENA region, including policymakers (health ministries, authorities, and regulators), healthcare providers (international and regional public and private hospitals, as well as academic medical centers), payors, and pharmaceutical companies. His engagements have covered healthcare sector reforms, public–private partnerships (PPPs) of healthcare ventures, operating models and governance for large network providers and university hospitals, and operational excellence programs for private and public healthcare providers focusing on service-line integration, supply chain, and organization restructuring.
In consumer and retail, he has worked with a broad range of regional and multinational clients in FMCG — distributors (predominantly family-owned businesses), as well as generalist and specialty retailers — focusing on strategy-based transformations, regional investment strategies including merger & acquisition and post-merger integration, profitable growth strategies, and restructuring of many family-owned and publicly listed companies.
In addition to his client work, Gabriel has authored multiple studies, including:
- The $68 billion challenge: Quantifying and tackling the burden of chronic diseases in the GCC

Prior to joining Strategy&, he was a senior consultant at Accenture in the U.S. and Canada.
