Joanna Rees is a Board Member at Endeavor Global and is leading the formation and capital raise for Endeavor Catalyst, an impact investment fund supporting high-impact entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Ms. Rees is also a Founder & Managing Director of Soda Rock Partners LLC, supporting entrepreneurs to build leading high-growth companies and organizations. Ms. Rees was a candidate for Mayor of San Francisco in November 2011. Previously, Ms. Rees founded VSP Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm. Ms. Rees has served on the boards of more than 25 venture-backed companies across a broad range of industries. She currently serves on the New Schools Venture Fund and has also served on the boards of the National Venture Capital Association ("NVCA”), the Coppola Companies (Francis Ford Coppola), The Threshold Group and as Chairman of the USA for Madrid-based FON. She is an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University where she teaches Leadership in the Leavey School of Business. She was selected as a Global Leader for Tomorrow by The World Economic Forum, a Henry Crown Fellow by the Aspen Institute, and an Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners ("NAWBO"). Ms. Rees is a moderator at the Aspen Institute where she also serves as a Senior Mentor in the Henry Crown Fellowship. She earned her MBA from Columbia University (beta gamma sigma) and a BS from Duke University.
